Human (2015) by Three Days Grace – Album Review

Three Days Grace’s 5th album Human (2015) was in peril as the original singer is on hiatus. But their new vocalist Matt Walst is vocally equal to Adam Gontier.

Human didn’t cross any expectations as there were none from grunge-rock fans. But it sure created new expectations with 3DG not forgetting the formula that has made them so successful since 2003.

Apart from Track 9 (Nothing’s Fair in Love and War) and Track 11 (The End is Not the Answer), rest of the tracks are awesome. I Am Machine (no.6) is lyrically the most powerful song but Painkiller (no. 2) is overall the best in every aesthetic.

To end with, Human is a grunge-rock album proving that 3DG is not diverting from what has made them famous for so long. But, even before the departure of Gontier, we have not heard an album as unique as Life Starts Now (2009). I just hope their next work will end up redefining the rock genre.

The Rating: 4 out of 5.
