I’ve been following the YouTuber Know Thy Future ever since his channel debuted in 2018. At the onset, he mainly concentrated on the palm readings of Pakistani and Indian celebrities.
It wasn’t until 2021 that he started to make palmistry videos on South Korean celebs. Even though the content of the videos changed, the quality remained. These were no ordinary palm readings. From the hand shapes, fingers, mounts, to the lines, everything was drawn over and covered by Know Thy Future.
His articles on divination are available to read for free on his blog Literary Retreat – of which I am also a contributor for the book reviews category. I reckon that Know Thy Future is the best source of celebrity hand readings. This is because, unlike other contemporary palmists, he draws over the lines in both his videos and blog-post images.
In his latest book, Korean Palm Readings, he brings his unique touch on the subject. Korean entertainment is not just a genre but a movement. And I always wanted to know what personality type my favorite K-pop idol falls into, or who they are going to end up marrying.
Within this book, there are 17 Korean celebrities to read about, including the likes of titans like Jungkook and G-Dragon, to newbies like AESPA’s Winter and NewJeans’ Minji.
Besides K-pop stars, the chapters also encompass actresses like Park Eun-bin and directors like the Oscar-winning Bong Joon-ho of Parasite fame. I think this is the definitive guide to palm reading of South Korean celebrities.
The only drawback I can fathom is that the book is too short and covers only 17 famous people of Korean citizenship – compared to hundreds featured on Know Thy Future’s YouTube channel.
Nevertheless, it’s a perfect book. Like the description states, it is perfect for both fans of South Korean pop culture and palmistry aficionados.
Overall, you won’t find another book like this on the market, especially in the New Age section.
