Jiu Jitsu (2020) Review

It's so bad it's good... and not just 'cause of Nicolas Cage.

Jiu Jitsu (2020) just might have the most over-the-top story for a martial arts flick. An alien visits earth every 6 years to fight 9 martial artists in return for it having taught the human race Jiu Jitsu 2000 years ago.

Just watch the Jiu Jitsu trailer below to have a glimpse of just how whacky it is:

Actually the plot isn’t as crazy as Nicolas Cage’s eccentric acting. Without him this film literally wouldn’t have had an X factor. In a way, he and Frank Grillo wasted screen time as I felt they were really out of place when legitimate action stars like Alain Moussi and Tony Jaa were there and the latter stole the show many times.

Palm Reading of Nicolas Cage in English

Overall, this film will definitely appeal to low-budget action lovers (like me) and even Cage fans (like me but even I retain my criticism that out of at least 6 releases this year this Cage movie was watchable not necessarily because of Cage). For people searching for something more refined or story-driven, simply look elsewhere.
