Off-Topic: Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018) Review

Off-Topic features articles about all the art forms excluding literature

Although, not featuring anything new character development-wise, Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018) is the best DB film since my personal favorite Wrath of the Dragon (1995).

The classic animation is a beauty to look at. The music and overall background score allow you to become a part of the action. The icy location reminded me of the Super Android 13! (1993) movie’s settings.

One of the most original revelations in the flick is that Broly’s transformation is a condensed version of the Great Ape conversion—but at this point in the franchise this plot-device seems redundant.

Still, this version not only makes Broly and Gogeta canon, but also surpasses the original 1993 picture as a no-holds-barred Saiyan versus Saiyan brawl. Can’t wait for what Dragon Ball brings us next. But I know that it’s gonna be Super!
